Call for papers


Theme | Papers are welcome showing how participation is crafted, enabled, fostered as well as limited and constrained within specific formats organizing activities in social interaction, in particular turn formats, sequential environments, and contexts of action, by mobilizing and selecting specific sets of linguistic and embodied resources.

It is important that the papers and panels submitted respond to one or more thematic areas of the conference (see the presentation of the conference theme).

Submission | You can submit:
  • a paper (30 min slot including discussion)
  • a panel (max 2 x 90 min – either 3 papers or 6 papers/ 5 papers + a discussant)

Abstracts and modalities of submission:
  • paper: 300 words abstract, indicating among other aspects how the contribution relates to the theme of the conference, the phenomenon/topic the contribution focuses on, the empirical data on which it is based.
  • panel: 500 words abstract presenting the panel and the coherence of the papers constituting it. The papers will be submitted individually, mentioning not only their title but the fact that they participate to a panel.

Submissions must be done via the conference website.

Restrictions | You can submit only one abstract as only/first author. You are free to submit more than one abstract as second/third author. Furthermore, you can submit only one panel, in which you are free to have a paper or not.

Deadline | The deadline for all submissions is 15.11.2014.
